Villas-Boas Enthusiastic Welcomes Arrival Gary Cahill

London - Soon, Gary Cahill will officially leave Bolton Wanderers and Chelsea finished a new retainer. Cahill's arrival was greeted enthusiastically by the manager of the Blues, Andre Villas-Boas.

After reaching an agreement with Bolton, Chelsea had started private negotiations with Cahill. Although the process is not so smoothly, deal personally with the 26-year-old defender was finally achieved as well.

Yesterday, Cahill has passed a medical at Chelsea headquarters. He also sat in the stands when the prospective new club host Sunderland on Saturday (14/01/2012) evening hrs.

"Gary has passed medical tests and will soon be our players," says Villas-Boas quoted by the BBC.

"Gary is a player with outstanding technical quality for a central defender, where we liked it, because control of the ball when we started attacking from behind," he explained.

"He's got great stamina and anticipation that is okay. That is characteristic of what we are looking for and we will get an England international player," said Villas-Boas.
